Our Story
Paul apprenticed at a joinery and cabinet making company who craft solid timber doors, windows, staircases and cabinetry. There he acquired a range of skills to become the expert in custom kitchens & cabinetry Calgary.
Paul has worked in Australia, the UK and Canada. These varied experiences have allowed him to hone his skills and offer a superior quality product in a wide range of styles.

Southern Stars Custom Woodwork is a family owned company established in 2016 by Paul Wyman, a Journeyman Cabinet Maker with over 20 years experience in the trade.

As a year 1 Cabinet Maker apprentice, Jesse is thrilled to be involved in projects that turn houses into homes and enrich family’s lives as part of the Southern Stars team.
Our Process

Gather Ideas

Concept Collection
For our initial consultation, call or email us and please include the ideas and concepts you’ve collected for your new space. A photograph of the current space and rough measurements are also useful. Share projects that appeal to you help us better understand your vision.

In-Home Consultation
At this stage, we refine our understanding of your vision and discuss in much more detail the style, layout and design. Consideration is also given to appliances as well as functionality and flow. We fully evaluate your space and discuss budget and additional selections.

Design & Drafting
Here, we get started on creating your vision with a detailed set of drawings which include 3D renderings to give you a sense of the look of your new space. We engage in continuous dialogue between you and Southern Stars Custom Woodwork to perfect your new space.

Production
This is where we get to work in our shop. Once design details are finalized and we receive a deposit, we schedule a preliminary installation date and order materials. As your project moves into production, your dream starts coming to life!

Installation
We schedule a pre-installation meeting which is followed by delivery and then the transformation of your space begins! Southern Stars starts your installation, making sure you are satisfied with every detail, no matter how minute.
