Their old kitchen, with its dated golden maple cabinetry and green laminate countertops, felt cramped, inefficient, and completely out of sync with their tastes. It just didn’t match their vision for how they wanted to live and enjoy their home. They envisioned a sleek, contemporary kitchen packed with thoughtful features to make everyday life smoother and more enjoyable.

One of the biggest challenges for this project was addressing the homeowners’ need for better storage. Every square inch of the kitchen was carefully considered to ensure it worked as hard as possible. Here are some of the standout solutions we incorporated for these Calgary homeowners:
- Upper Cabinets to the Ceiling: By extending all the upper cabinets to the ceiling, we maximized storage space while achieving a clean and streamlined look. This eliminated the awkward gap often found above cabinetry, transforming it into useful storage.

Full-extension concealed under-mount soft-close slides make the drawers glide effortlessly, while the anti-slip mats keep everything securely in place. These features don’t just make the kitchen more functional; they also contribute to the seamless, quiet experience that every homeowner deserves. It’s the small things that really make a difference, and we pay attention to every detail. From the finished end gables and 5-inch maple crown moulding to the furniture base, each element is designed to tie the whole space together with a polished, custom, luxury look.
The adjustable shelving allows the homeowners to personalize their storage however they like, while the concealed valance and raised peninsula, which is supported by sturdy steel brackets, bring a perfect balance of style and practicality. This enhances the functionality of the kitchen without disrupting its contemporary style upgrade. Even the island was carefully considered, with decorative posts and smart cutouts for electrical boxes that add both visual interest and useful features.
